Well, today we’re covering my secret strategy for audience growth.
As I was saying that, I became very active with Reddit, and I noticed one thing, Growing a newsletter is too hard. More than you can imagine.
If you already have the audience, then it becomes easy, but if you don’t have then it’s a pain. So…
Everyone tells you to publish more, post more, do more.
So, usually, creators write threads, videos, yet they barely grow.
I was and am in the exact same spot. I kept publishing consistently, but the gap between my effort and my growth remains the same and it is still the same.
In order to grow my newsletter, I’ve tried almost everything.

But this trick actually worked.
Writing teaser posts and follow-up posts.
Every time I schedule a newsletter, I publish two posts around that issue.
One goes out the day before the issue goes live. The next one goes out on the day the issue is published.
The purpose of the teaser post is to build curiosity.
Most people follow you but do not remember your publishing schedule.
A teaser reminds them that something is arriving soon. It also tells them what to expect from the next issue. It gives them an anchor, something specific to look forward to.
The follow-up post does a different job. People get busy. They see your teaser, they feel excited, and then life pulls them away.
The follow-up reminds them. It tells them that the issue is ready, it highlights the main idea, and it gives them a reason to stop whatever they are doing and open the email.
Here is how simple it can be.
Teaser post:
'Tomorrow I am sending a new issue about [topic]. Here is a quick look at what is inside.'
Follow-up post:
'Today’s newsletter is live. Here is the main idea, and here is the link. Go and check it out.'

I use this on LinkedIn and X.
These two platforms give me enough reach to remind the audience already following my journey.
I gained around 30 new subscribers simply by making my publishing flow better.
The number might seem small for some people, but think of it this way. These subscribers did not come from ads, partnerships, or shoutouts. They came because the reminder system made my newsletter impossible to ignore.
Mostly you’ve an attention problem. People like your content, but they forget you exist.
A teaser and a follow-up solve this efficiently.
When you post only on the day of publication, you rely completely on chance.
You hope the audience sees your post at the right time. But that never happens.
If you want to make this even stronger, make sure your teaser has a hook. Give readers one line that makes them pause. It could be a surprising idea, a bold claim, or a question they want answered. Keep it short and sharp.
For the follow-up, highlight the main insight. Inform them of the benefits they will gain from reading the issue.
Always make it about them, not about you.
