I just came back from an amazing rock climbing and nature study course, my mind is fresh, but I’m tired, so the edition is going live a bit late.

Today, I thought of sharing about my venture, SML.

I started SML in January 2024 with a very specific intention.

To help coaches and consultants grow, build, and monetise their newsletter in a way that actually makes sense as a business.

I have always believed that a newsletter is not a side project. It is an independent business model. One that can compound, create leverage, and eventually stand on its own without depending on platforms that change rules overnight.

SML was created to fix that gap.

There are a lot of newsletter agencies out there in the market. But very few agencies actually do the job or keep the promise.

And they mostly provide surface-level execution without understanding the business behind the newsletter.

SML operates differently.

We think in terms of revenue, and long-term positioning. Everything connects back to how the newsletter can either make money or support the client’s core offer more effectively.

If something does not contribute to that, it does not make it into the system.

Initially, I had no intention of serving clients. I wanted to focus entirely on building media and writing. Over time, I realised something very important.

Service-based businesses scale faster and provide cash flow earlier. Media businesses compound but demand patience and consistent effort before they pay back.

Right now, SML need to support Insideletter.

Until Insideletter reaches a point where it can comfortably sustain itself financially, my focus will be on both of them.
