What is up, you amazing human,

It’s already Saturday, I don’t know how we’ve reached Saturday so quickly.

Well, Saturdays are the day for monetisation.

As I’ve said in earlier editions, there are many ways to monetise your newsletter.

But digital products are the best ones. And mini courses are the main part of the umbrella.

So, let’s learn how to validate your first mini-course idea.

People always ask me how to know if an idea is worth creating before spending hours on it. So today, let’s break that down

When I first started creating courses, I made the mistake of building the entire thing based on my assumptions.

(Yes, no one bought it)

And I got my lesson? Validation first saves time and energy.

Here’s what you can do to test your idea before building anything

  1. Share your course outline with your audience. Highlight the outcomes and ask for feedback. If people are excited and asking questions, you’re on the right track.

  1. Pre-sell it. Offer early access or a discounted version to your most engaged subscribers. If people are willing to pay before it exists, you know there is actually a demand.

  2. Create a mini version first. Instead of a full-length course, make a 30-minute workshop or a 3-day challenge. It costs less time to produce and gives you proof that your content resonates.

  3. Leverage your community. Ask your followers what they need help with the most. You will get insights straight from the people who would buy the course anyway. A single comment can give you an entire course idea.

  1. Track interest. Sign-ups, replies, clicks on a poll, all these are signals. You do not need a massive launch to know if people actually care.

Here is my personal take. I do not really believe in courses because they often become irrelevant with time. By the time you finish creating a course, the needs or context of your audience might have changed.

That’s why I’ve said mini-tests or short challenges give faster feedback and stay relevant.

Once you have proof, you can confidently create the full version or decide to pivot.

Validation reduces risk, builds trust with your audience, and even gives you content for marketing when you launch.

What I want you to do today is think of one course or workshop idea you’ve been hesitant about and run one quick validation test. You will be surprised by how much clarity you get from just asking, observing, and testing

If you do this right, your mini-course or workshop will not only sell but also solve a problem people are eager to pay for.
