Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.

Read our guide to find out why growth marketers should make sure CTV is part of their 2026 media mix.

Hi 👋🏻

Last week, I asked you to DM more people. Have you done it?

If yes, what’s the result with that? How many subs did you get? How many people actually know about your newsletter now?

If you’ve not done it yet, go and send the DMs now. But before that, I’ll share another strategy with you.

Hope it will be of your help.

LinkedIn newsletter

You might be staring at me.

Say what, Anirban? You always say that you should never build your audience on a rented platform, and you also said a big no to LinkedIn newsletter.

Now, you’re asking me to work on a LinkedIn newsletter? I can’t believe it.

Well, well. Calm down.

I understand, and I accept it all.

But our goal is to grow our newsletter, right? So in order to grow it, we need to try every tactic possible and then double down on what is working.

So, I recently had a chat with one of my friends, and she said she has 25K subscribers.

I was bewildered when I heard this.

25K? Freaking 25K?

Then she revealed her secret, it’s ‘LinkedIn newsletter’

Then I thought, since Insideletter was very stagnant and not moving forward, why not try something different?

So, on December 13th, I created a LinkedIn page for Insideletter.

Since LinkedIn is my #1 platform, I assumed it would take me at least a month to reach the first 1,000 subscribers.

SS

But when I reopened LinkedIn later that day, I was shocked.

It crossed 650 in a day? heck. 😳🤯

Now, I’ve 1332 subscribers. It didn’t take more than 3 days to cross 1000, whereas I’m struggling to cross 500 with Insideletter.

Well, hoping for the good days.

Here's what exactly I’m doing

Now you can ask me, Anirban, are you posting the same content on LinkedIn?

Then why should LinkedIn folks read your newsletter instead of the LinkedIn newsletter?

Umm, fair question.

I thought the same.

So here’s what exactly I’m doing.

I’m not copying and pasting the same content. Instead, I’m posting a snippet.

Yes, the one you see me posting on social media, like the teaser. I’m posting the same on the LinkedIn newsletter.

I’m posting the most interesting part or the initial part and inviting the audience to my newsletter.

Hope this strategy works for you, too. Now go and try it. Once done, let me know the progress.

Why it’s a good strategy

  1. It provides instant distribution, as subscribers receive notifications whenever you follow them. It’s a +++

  2. It helps you grow faster, as LinkedIn itself promotes your newsletter to your existing network and a new set of audiences, and new readers can subscribe in one click.

  3. It exposes your writing to a larger audience than your personal newsletter alone.

  4. Repurposing becomes easy. Over time, the LinkedIn newsletter becomes a steady source of qualified subscribers for your personal newsletter.
