Clear communicators aren't lucky. They have a system.

Here's an uncomfortable truth: your readers give you about 26 seconds.

Smart Brevity is the methodology born in the Axios newsroom — rooted in deep respect for people's time and attention. It works just as well for internal comms, executive updates, and change management as it does for news.

We've bundled six free resources — checklists, workbooks, and more — so you can start applying it immediately.

The goal isn't shorter. It's clearer. And clearer gets results.

Hi 👋🏻

Today, we’ll talk about social media because newsletters are a closed form of leverage. And if we don’t talk a lot about our newsletter on social media, we’re not gonna grow our newsletter.

Platform #3

I’d keep Instagram at the bottom.

Because Instagram is a visual platform, and if someone is too active on Instagram, they would probably look for the shorts or reel sorta content. Not the text-based content.

So, if you want to use Instagram for your social media, you can drop digital products or some freebies and use tools like Zorcha to automate the process.

But the best way is always stories.

Add too much value and keep talking about how you’re helping them grow their business or making their life better, and then add the links to check your newsletter.

Platform #2

I’ll keep Twitter in the second place.

It was 2016 when I created an account on Twitter.

And back then the Twitter was full of politics and random stuff.

But day by day, especially after Elon Musk acquired it, X got better.

It’s a creator-first platform, and you can make a business on X. But the newsletter growth is always good on this platform.

Specifically, people like Matt McGarry, Sahil Bloom, and the car dealership guy are doing wonders.

And the #1 way of growing on Twitter is using threads. And, Dming people and asking them to subscribe is common on every platform. So, I’m not mentioning it differently.

Platform #1

I’d keep LinkedIn, hands down the best social media platform.

LinkedIn’s reach is tanking. But compared to other platforms, it’s still the best.

There are too many ways to grow your newsletter on Linky.

Featured section: This is your real estate, no other platform gives you this privilege.

Comment: LinkedIn’s comment works amazingly, and it gives you more reach than your posts, so make sure to fix the headline and become a profile magnet.

Blue link + premium link: Nowadays, you can use both premium and blue links, though eventually, LinkedIn will wipe out the blue link. But for the time being, put the link to your newsletter everywhere possible.

An example of it.

I don’t recommend using more than 2 platforms. Of course, you can, but it’s too time-consuming, and you won’t get any result if you stretch yourself too thin.
