Insideletter helps you build a 1 person newsletter business. 3X weekly.

As a newsletter enthusiast and coach, I always read a lot of newsletters.

When I say a lot, I truly mean it.

After 2023, I've noticed a shift in the content.

People are overly obsessed with AI to the point that they forget they can write themselves.

Recently, I wanted to hire someone and started a chat with the candidate, only to find that every reply was generated by AI.

She might not be very confident with English, which is understandable, but when you know how to write, why would you copy-paste AI content for your newsletter?

If I can get a response from ChatGPT, then the same goes for your email. Why would I bother reading it?

Let’s discuss this today.

You will always find me talking against AI. Does that mean I don’t want technological advancement? Well, not really.

I want everything to be developed, even if I don’t want it, I can’t stop everything from becoming better.

But when I talk against AI, I mean we should not be focused entirely on AI.

Be it writing, be it design or be it doing anything highly skilled work.

What I am seeing on the social media platform is, a lot of people have started their own newsletter.

That’s a really good thing. (But again, they are not thinking of the newsletter as a business, well, let’s not go in that way.)

But my concern is the thing they are doing they are copying and pasting directly from ChatGPT.

That has 0 meaning and 0 emotional connection.

And that's what I want to point out.

We, as readers, want something exclusive when we open a newsletter. That is not Google-able.

But if you’re copying the AI content, why should I stay in your list?

I’ve subscribed to and unsubscribed from almost 30 newsletters in the past 6 months.

I am very picky when it comes to newsletters.

When you read my newsletters, you know how careful I am with the content and overall positioning.

Join the Insideletter community where I hand hold you to build your 1 person newsletter business.

Again, please understand this, I’m not against AI, I’m against copying and pasting things.

No, I’m not asking you to draw it out of the AI tools, and then edit and send.

I want you to add your own expertise. If you’ve started a newsletter, that means you’ve the expertise in it, or maybe you’re curating it.

In both of the cases, please make sure that you’re not copying and pasting from GPT.

Because the way I’m looking at it, your readers will do the same.

Hope it’s clear for you, feel free to ask me anything about the content system, I’ll happily help you out, friend.
